Mahmudul Hasan Joy took place in the national team this time by showing skill as the opening batsman of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced a 15-member squad ahead of the one-day series against Afghanistan on Monday (February 14).
However, Ebadat Hossain has been named in the ODI squad for Test cricket. Mahmudul Hasan Joy is also waiting for his debut against Afghanistan in colorful attire.
Apart from that, Four cricketers awaiting their debuts batsmen Mahmudul Hasan and Yasir Ali, spinner Nasum Ahmed and fast bowler Ibadat Hossain have been named in Bangladesh’s ODI squad for the series. On the other hand, Six cricketers – Mohammad Mithun, Mohammad Naeem, Mosaddek Hossain, Nurul Hasan, Rubel Hossain, and Taizul Islam – have been dropped from the squad for the latest ODI series against Zimbabwe last year. Besides, Mohammad Saifuddin is out of the squad due to injury.
Apart from Mahmudul, Yasir, Nasum, and Ibadat, Nazmul Hossain has also joined the team in the Afghanistan series this time. After that, today, the BCB has announced a 15-man squad with Tamim Iqbal as the captain for the three-match series. Fast bowler Taskin Ahmed, who was dropped early in the BPL due to injury, has been included in the squad.
