LSG win, SRH remain winless: Sunrisers Hyderabad’s attempts to hit the big shots in the last over didn’t yield much positive result. Jason Holder grabbed three wickets with Washington Sundar, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Romario Shepherd getting caught instead in the last over. Another disappointing loss for Sunrisers Hyderabad – this time messing up what should have been a rather comfortable chase. Lucknow Super Giants won by 12 runs, their second successive win of the season.
16 needed off 6 balls
WICKET SRH have been out of their wits in the run-chase. Rahul Tripathi, the only batter who looked comfortable in the middle, has been dismissed. Second strike for Krunal Pandya. 95/4
Avesh Khan has struck twice in the powerplay, dismissing both the SRH openers. Slow start in the chase – 40 for 2. The game os still on.
WICKET Avesh Khan has struck in his first over. Kane Williamson’s attempted scoop gets the toe end of the bat and he is caught at short fine leg. 25/1.
169 for 7 KL Rahul and Deepak Hooda stroked fifties, but Lucknow Super Giants’ innings before and after their matured partnership wasn’t up to the mark, which eventually limited them to a below-par total. Washington Sundar bagged a couple of wickets upfront, while Romario Shepherd and T Natarajan also bagged a brace. It’s advantage SRH at the halfway mark. Can they capitalise on it and register their maiden victory?
WICKET Sunrisers Hyderabad finally strike. A partnership that was threatening to take the game away from them has finally come to an end. Deepak Hooda holes out to deep mid wicket. Romario Shepherd strikes.
It has been a productive powerplay for the bowling side. Three wickets down – Quinton de Kock, Evin Lewis and Manish Pandey. LSG are struggling at 32 for 3
WICKET Washington Sundar has stuck in his first over. Looking to make room and hit the spinner through the off side, Quinton De Kock gives an easy catch to the fielder at cover. Early blow for LSG!

Both teams had started their IPL 2022 campaign on a losing note. However, the KL Rahul-led side picked themselves up with a victory in their second match against CSK. SRH, on the other hand, were outplayed with both bat and ball against Rajasthan Royals and would be desperate to turn their fortunes around.
